Healing Rallies
The call to teach faith and divine healing is the foundation of Victory for Today Ministries. On Saturday, November 12, 1994, God called and placed a special mandate on him to minister healing to the sick. Frequently, there have been testimonies of God's healing power. For example, a man came up for prayer who had suffered from arthritis in both of his knees. Within minutes, he ran around the church because he felt God's power touch his body. Recently, while ministering in Chicago, a woman who had lost use of her right arm came forward for prayer. The gift of healing was present and God restored to her the use of arm. There has been numerous testmonies of God's healing power. God still heals.
Personal Testimony of Healing:
God has touched Evangelist Norwood's body on several occasions. For example, when he was a teenager he severely injured his ankle while running up a hill. After the doctor saw the X-Ray, he wrapped his ankle and placed him on crutches. Evangelist Norwood recalls having the privilege of not having to do the dishes that week. However, the next week at a church service he was prayed for by Pastor Grady Thomas of Memphis, Tennessee. Instantly, God healed him, and he became convinced of God's power to heal.
The summer of 2002 was a time of transition for Tania and Jesse. They moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana to plant a church. While traveling to Ohio for a church planting boot camp, he started to lose vision in his left eye. To his surprise his right eye started to get blurry. According to his wife, his eye swelled and started to secrete mucus continuously.
After returning home and unable to see, he went to the eye doctor. The doctor told him that could lose his left eye and possibly never see out of his right eye again. The diagnosis of an eye ulcer was alarming to his family. After experiencing three weeks of following the doctor's instructions (he took the medicine from the doctors), his sight did not improve. He stood on the Word God and faith. Evangelist Norwood almost lost heart because his condition was not changing. However, one day he recalls standing on Matthew 8:17 and Mark 11:22-24. He felt is his body a gradual change. After spending the month of August with very little sight, the vision returned in both eyes. Until this day when he returns for his yearly check-up, the doctors are amazed because they did not think it was possible. GOD STILL HEALS.
